On offer is an absolutely stunning #547 recliner with footstool designed by the legendary Danish designer Ib Kofod Larsen (1921-2003) these were produced by one of New Zealands foremost furniture makers Scandinavian Furnishings Ltd.

An incredibly rare and highly coveted design amongst collectors and enthusiasts alike. Sleek, minimal design at its best featuring organic streamlined armrests, a very fluid design which flows from armrests into the legs and stretcher, all with a slim well balanced frame. with a curved back is ergonomically design to support the human body perfectly. The reclining mechanism has four positions for your comfort and is very comfortable with the matching footstools .

Concealed joints and fixings showing exquisite craftsmanship and quality synonymous of great Danish design and New Zealand craftsmanship.

There are two sets available

Fully restored top to bottom and now in fantastic show condition. All joints have been disassembled, cleaned and re-glued with epoxy glues and properly clamped. fully sanded down to a fine grade by hand, then sealed and finished in eight+ coats of Danish oil and wax. New webbing has been installed on the footstools the zig-zag springs on the chairs have been cleaned and are in great supportive condition, fully Professionally upholstered in mid grey textured wool blend fabric by Charles Dunlop fabrics oner new foam and tetron, Zipped and reversible with new spring protectors.
