This is a beautiful early Jon Jansen piece with its amazing solid timber top crafted in stunning blond Oak, A truly iconic slice of New Zealand made design and craftsmanship at its best.

Locally produced pieces have always been my favourite and this piece sure makes you look twice which easily holds its own against the best of fine Danish furniture. A fantastic curved rectangular banquet table to accommodate all the family and friends to eat and socialise featuring great proportions.

  A solid (25mm thick) Oak top with highly figured swirling tiger grain, under-which a solid oversized frame rests on four Oak tapering legs.

This design has been loosely credited to Jon Jansens early in-house Designer Bob Roukema and as it is an early Jon Jansen piece it could well be by the well respected designer. Im simply saying designed in house for Jon Jansen.

Condition: The table has been completely restored top to bottom, all joints have been re-laminated including the skirt using an epoxy resin for extra strength, then stripped, and age related blemishes properly filled, sealed and finished with eight or more coats of Danish oil and wax. the top is fastened down with expansion/contraction brackets as seen underneath for the massive length of the timber to move naturally.
