We understand it is quite a rarely seen design and was brought out around 1955. Royal Doulton is very good china and this delightful set is lovely. It hasn’t been used by us and time to move on. One disappointment is that the coffee jug has a small chip under the lid. It isn’t seen on display and has never bothered us. The price reflects this imperfection. The six cups, saucers, jug and sugar bowl are great.
