This auction is for 6 beautiful blue & white vintage cups and saucers in a pattern thats very similar to the classic FINLANDIA design and is called DENMARK . Johnson Brothers is a brand of WEDGEWOOD & ceased production in the UK in the late 1960s .

Im very fond of blue & white china in any form , but absolutely love Scandainavian inspired designs such as this which reflects the beautiful folk art patterns you see in Nordic countries ( Norway , Sweden , Denmark ) or Baltic countries ( Estonia , Latvia & Lithuania ) These were found in beautiful everyday items such as kitchenware , as well as designs stitched on clothing .

These cups & saucers were made by Johnson Brothers of ENGLAND circa 1960s ( They first started using this design in 1940s ) but it is has been discontinued for some years now .

The cups are great to make desserts in , such as individual self saucing chocolate puds , which looks really special in these . I have also used them to make individual fruit crumbles in , as well as chocolate mousse . The cups are a particularly nice shape and the ribbed part under the blue & white design gives them some texture as well as a classic look .

They have been used more for serving desserts than to drink tea from lol !

They are dishwasher , freezer and nicrowave safe and in great condition . No chips , cracks or crazing
