First photo for presentation only shows 3 rabbits from my collection, all showing the same bunny however made by 3 different manufacturers Eppelsheimer (US); Anton Reiche (DE); Laurosch (DE). This shows how the various firms all copied each others designs once they got hold of them. Anton Reiche being the biggest was likely reproduced by the others.
This sitting festive Easter Bunny Rabbit is from the early 1920-1930 period and highly sight after. Produced from tinned steel hand pressed by tinsmiths. Eppelsheimer & Co. manufacturing company who were largest, most well known metal mold manufacturer for chocolatiers in the U.S.A. Eppelsheimer l acquired by American Chocolate Mold Co. in 1947 and continued to make metal chocolate ice cream moulds.
Sides matched + align well #19, catalogue #6218 visible. This classic is stamp with makers mark - a child’s spinning top.
**Vintage antique metal with age marks, rusting (on top edge) and tarnishing on exterior but with a coat of mineral oil, the patina will come out. Interior is shiny with light tarnishing but still usable - you need to verify the metal used.
Should be suitable for moulding chocolate or candy for the kids once verified, or display as a collectors piece (you will see similar pieces in museums), wall art, man cave toys, or as standout vintage kitchenalia / industrial décor, make candles, wax candle figurines, chalkware ornaments.
