Description
Issued in 1942 and 1944, 5 and 10 Piastres notes. These quite possibly were bought back from there after ww2, Australian soldiers were part of the 1941 invasion (Operator Exporter), and New Zealander were deployed there early 1942, with the 3rd NZ General Hospital set up in Beirut
Either way, nice items of ww2 currency
