Description
These vouchers were used by British Armed Forces personnel, mainly in Germany, after the UK decimalized its currency in 1971.
The 50 New Pence voucher was introduced in 1972 and was printed by Bradbury Wilkinson and Company.
Purpose: Used in official army canteens and organizations, particularly in Germany and Austria, to prevent black market activity after WWII. Denomination: 50 New Pence, equivalent to the decimal coin introduced in 1968. Issuer: Issued by command of the Defence Council. 1972 Printing: Printed by Bradbury Wilkinson and Company, and Thomas de la Rue and Company.
This note is in uncirculated condition and is crisp and clean. A nice 'highlight note'/point of difference, to add to a collection. Please refer to photos.
I am having a HUGE clear out of collectables after our recent move. There will be lots more listings being put up in the coming weeks. Please feel free to ask any questions and check out my other listings.
