The flag of the Isle of Man or flag of Mann (Manx: brattagh Vannin) is a triskelion, composed of three armoured legs with golden spurs, upon a red background. It has been the official flag of the Isle of Mann since 1 December 1932 and is based on the Manx coat of arms, which dates back to the 13th century.

The three legs are known in Manx as ny tree cassyn ("the three legs"). The triskelion is an ancient symbol, used by the Mycenaeans and the Lycians.

There would be very very FEW examples of this SCARCE Isle of Man Ginger Beer bottle here in New Zealand collections.

Little is known about this maker other than that they once produced in both Douglas (The Isle's Capitol) and Ramsey (THE Wealthiest town on the Isle where the people are generally disliked by the rest of the Isle's population...kinda like Jaffas here in Kiwiland :-)

I know that before this type of bottle there was an older earlier stoneware type that was marked "Qualtrough & Co Ltd, Douglas & Ramsey"

So maybe the "Ramsey" was dropped when they made the transition to glass Crown Seal bottles in the early 1900's

The maker's name Qualtrough is now best-known for construction and building on the Isle of Man

CONDITION should be seen clearly in my images some very small surface "chips" typical for bottles that were likely recycled for decades
