Description
This 9.5cm vintage cobalt blue medicine bottle came from a dump site near a late 1800s first aid post/general store close to the western outskirts of New Plymouth in Taranaki.
Several battles during the Land Wars took place nearby, further to the west of the city.
I vividly remember digging up this bottle and couple of dozen or so others at the new-build house site of a close friend about 50 years ago.
The bottle is seven-sided and in very good condition.
Other finds included aromatic schnapps and other bottles, plus household and kitchen items from the era.
