I always try to avoid yucking anyone else's yums, but I'm sorry... ANCHOVY PASTE ON SAMMICHES OR TOAST. GROSS. They add some intense umami flavouring to sauces and the like, I cannot imagine how strong the flavour would be in paste form on a sammich. EEEEEURRGH!

Whatever floats your (anchovy catching) boat, I guess :-P

This is a fantastic and particularly early lid/base, dating from around the c1870 Victorian period with the UK royal coat of arms. Other than some light rust staining (as dug) it's in great condition with no chips, cracks or other faults. The base has a couple of small chips and rust staining per the photos but nobody cares much about the bases, it's all about the lid, baby! :-)

Lid measures 85mm in diameter.
