John Burns and Co Raw Linseed Oil bottle. Bottle in great condition, label has tears as shown in photos. John Burns and Co. Ltd. was operating on Lichfield Street at least as early as 1919 and was still there between 1978-1980. The company was involved in various activities as a hardware, iron, and machinery merchant. They also sold paint. After the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, the John Burns and Co. building on Lichfield Street was demolished.
