Brown Pottery Ink Bottles x 3. 1 Dark brown salt glazed stoneware ink bottle with narrow neck and spout. No markings. Measures 11cm high. 2 Light brown ink bottle with spout, stamped with a makers name which could be Lovatt & Lovatt or Lovatt & Brown - too difficult to decipher. Measures 11cm high 3 Small round brown pottery ink bottle, no markings. Measures 4.5cm high. Has a few tiny chips on outer edge as per photo. If the mark is Lovatt of Langley Mill, the Langley Mill was located on the Derbyshire - Nottinghamshire border. It produced a wide range of stoneware ranging from salt glazed ink bottles, domestic items and tableware to high quality and original art pottery. Established in 1865, the mill had five distinct periods of ownership. Lovatt and Lovatt operated the Langley Mill from 1895 to 1930.
