This wonderful, authentic German Black Forest cuckoo clock was purchased new and then carefully packed away unused.
Consequently it is in amazing “as new” condition, with incredible colours and highlights in the hand carved wooden case. The clock features the traditional bird at the top with carved leaves around the outside of the case.
This is a large clock, it measures 42 cm long not counting the chains and weights, 38 cm wider and 16 cm deep so is impressive on the wall.
To prepare it for its new owner, the movement has just been removed and fully serviced - cleaned with an ultra sonic, oiled using professional Mobius Swiss Clock oil, adjusted and reinstalled.
This impressive clock features the traditional cuckoo that comes out on the half hour and hour cuckooing up and down with a lovely deep sound.
The Roman numbers and hands are in excellent condition as are the pine cone weights and chains. The clock also features a lever which can be twisted in front of the door to turn the cuckoo off at night if desired.
Cuckoo clock have many moving parts so can be very expensive to have repaired! However you can buy this beauty with complete confidence, as is sold with a 12 month warranty, runs perfectly, keeps good time and will do so for many years to come!
Cuckoo clocks have great personalities and are real talking pieces. they are also excellent for teaching children the time. This clock would cost around $800 to purchase new, but is listed with just a $1 reserve! So catch a Christmas bargain!
