A classic vintage folding travel alarm clock manufactured by Europa, West Germany, circa 1960s. This mechanical wind-up timepiece features a gold-tone case with a hinged lid and a globe-themed dial centred on Europe and Africa, in keeping with Cold War-era design aesthetics.
The clock face displays minimalist hour markers, luminous hands, and a domed acrylic lens. The compact round casing is finished with a printed map motif, reflecting the period's fascination with modern travel and geopolitics. The clock is marked “EUROPA, 2 Jewels, Germany” and is manually wound via rear crown.
Europa was known for producing quality travel clocks during the mid-20th century, often with jewelled movements and precision German engineering.
