All the way from France, this cabinet is something very special. Not only for its size and grandeur, this piece is also in original condition. The paint work is original and the natural patina is stunning & only adds to the beauty of this cabinet. The glass, handles and hinges are all original too & despite their age, there is no issue with them…they all work fine. Cabinets such as this are hard to come by and very rarely are they in this condition. When I found this piece some years ago, I had been looking for a long time. I recently saw one, a little similar, smaller in size and not with the same character and history, selling for a little over $8000. Some years ago, this piece cost me just shy of $5500.

As shown in the last photographs, the top and base can be 2 separate pieces. The glass doors and shelving unit, could be attached to a wall separately and the base freestanding. Otherwise, they screw together securely as one piece…this is how we have always had it in our home.
