A charming example of a late 19th-century penny lick ice cream glass, once used by Victorian street vendors to serve small portions of ice cream for a penny. These heavy-bottomed glasses were designed to appear fuller than they were, with thick domed bases and shallow bowls.

This piece features the distinctive grey-lavender tint found in glass aged 100+ years, caused by prolonged UV exposure reacting with manganese used in the glass formula. The stem and foot are traditionally solid, with a shallow bowl and visible hand-tooling marks typical of pressed glass from the late 1800s.

A lovely historical piece — ideal for collectors of early glass, apothecary or kitchenalia, or as a unique prop or display item.
