Wonderful sterling silver and onyx vintage pendant brooch, made in Mexico.

Measuring 4.6cm in diameter, just under 3mm width. Weighs 13.17 grams.

Onyx round disc on the front also around the edges with sterling silver on the back and front and the main. Depicted in etched silver on the front with mountains, large cacti and in the middle a figure of a man wearing a sombrero, he looks to be carrying a bag on his back. Round border of silver surrounding this scene.

Back stamped MEXICO D F The initial for Mexico City were one DF which stood for Distrito Federal de Mexico so this would have been made in Mexico City. STERLING 925

Pendant loop at the top and a brooch catch in the middle.

In good condition, some small pitting to the onyx at the front, on close inspection, some patina on the silver at the back. A small tiny crack to the silver on the front on the right-hand side. A little chip on the side of the onyx, small, intact and not loose. All and all good. Catch working well and pendant loop strong and intact.
