A striking midcentury 9ct gold cocktail ring, designed by Peter Minturn, a master jeweller from New Zealand. The "Sculpture" design features an organic, textured gold setting inspired by Brutalist aesthetics, holding a large opal doublet with vivid blue and green play-of-colour. The openwork gold structure showcases Minturn’s signature craftsmanship, making this a rare collector’s item.

Minturn (1938–2022) trained in London before becoming one of New Zealand’s leading jewellers. His "Sculpture" collection embodies the midcentury movement, merging abstract form with nature-inspired textures. Minturn was also instrumental in jewellery education in New Zealand, founding the Peter Minturn Goldsmith School to preserve traditional goldsmithing techniques. His innovative, nature-inspired designs are highly collectible. This ring comes in its original Peter Minturn box.
