These stones were made by a swiss company that ran for 100 years and went defunct a number of years ago, this gem material is no longer being made due to this. Awesome for lovers of uranium glass, can be worn everyday without worry as the hardness of UV spinel is much higher than uranium glass. On the Mohs hardness scale, spinel is 8, uranium glass is only 5.5 This won't get scratched up, cloudy, cracked or chipped like uranium glass gems do. For this reason a jeweller can resize this ring using standard methods, and can be cleaned professionally without issue.
