Description
Cocktail rings owe their name to their place of origin, namely cocktail parties during the prohibition era, whereby the sale of liquor was prohibited. Originally a symbol of rebelliousness and independence at a time when change was happening for women. They were given the right to vote and the beginning of eccentric fashion took hold.
I am selling an antique 50s - 60s era, 9ct yellow gold Ruby & Diamond cocktail ring 50s - 60s era bought from an antique shop. With 2 sets of markings, GFLd and a set of numbers within stamped boxes. Can't quite make them out. In excellent condition. Ring box included.
Ring has also been restored.
