Beautiful antique circa 1850 - 1900 natural ruby and old cut diamond trilogy ring

Stamped and tested for 18ct gold and also has Asian stamps, we believe this is of Chinese origin and made during the reign of Queen Victoria

This ring features a central blood red ruby which is 4 mm in size and 2 extremely clear old cushion cut diamonds. The diamonds have no visible inclusions and under 20 x magnification it is very hard to see any inclusions at all. The minimum diamond clarity for these diamonds is SI1 - VS or higher and colour D - E. Each diamond is 3 mm in size and they are old cushion cut. There is a minimum diamond and ruby weight of 0.50 carat in this ring

The width of the setting to the top centre of the ring is 5.5 mm

The ring size is Q 1/2 and can be resized by a good jeweller if required

Weighs 3.35 grams

This is a beautiful and very interesting ring clearly made in Asia over 100 years ago. There is part of a claw missing from the ruby and this does not affect the stability of the ruby at all and has been like this for a very long time, the ruby is stable. If required a new claw can be added by a jeweller but we are keeping this ring in original condition. The natural ruby has some light wear commensurate with the age. This is a lovely and important ring of Antique Asian origin with stunning natural gemstones. We have not seen another ring like this with Asian marks
