A rare and absolutely beautiful antique Georgian 18 carat gold memorial ring

Fully English hallmarked for London 1833 with the hallmarks being crisp and clear. This is the reign of William IV who was only on the throne for 7 years and a rare find

This beautiful ring is solid 18 carat gold with black enamel. The black enamel is inscribed "IN MEMORY OF" and to the interior of the ring William Holwell 18 July 1833 with the age being 80 years old

This ring is 191 years old and is in remarkable condition this clearly has been kept safely over the years. There are some imperfections on the enamel in places as pictured and to be expected for a ring of this age but overall in remarkable condition for the age

The width of the band is 8 mm

The ring size is V 1/2 to W we would not recommend resizing this ring due to the historical nature of this ring and the damage it would cause to the setting and enamel. This ring is in original condition

Weighs 4.8 grams
