Description
Hi there
Up for grabs is a U.S.A made Schrade “Uncle Henry” 153 Golden Spike.
Very similar to the other auction I have right now, but this example is Schrade’s famous Stainless Steel known for good edge retention and high quality heat treatment.
The 153 Golden Spike came out in 1973, and was continued up until the demise of this amazing company in 2004.
The Knife showing extremely careful use. Strong factory etch reads “SCHRADE SUPER SHARP”.
The Tang Stamping reads: SCHRADE +, USA, 153UH. (The UH stands for Uncle Henry -who was in fact Albert Baer’s brother Henry). The blade is 100% full.
Although there are very fine scratches and the edge may have had a slight touch up? I am unsure -that is how nice this Blade is. There are a few fine scratches on the blade, all in all this knife is in excellent condition.
The Factory Etch on the Blade is still strong SCHRADE SUPER SHARP. The Original Sheath is in above average condition, showing signs of use but not hard use. The Sheath has two cuts to the front of the Sheath- please use all the photos as part on my description.
The original Stone is still in the Sheath’s pouch but is in two pieces.
Overall length is 9 & ½ inches long, that Blade is just a peek under 5 inches long. A very nice Vintage USA made Schrade here folks up for grabs here in fine condition.
Many thanks for looking and check out my other auctions for Great Quality Vintage Knives.
