Description
Hi there This Week I will be placing many auctions, some of them are extremely hard to get Vintage USA Knives.
This example is one of my last of the 153 Golden Spike. These came out in 1973, and was continued up until the demise of this amazing company in 2004.
The Knife showing no use. Strong factory etch reads “SCHRADE SUPER SHARP”. The Tang Stamping reads: SCHRADE +, USA, 153UH. (The UH stands for Uncle Henry who was in fact Albert Baer’s brother Henry).
This is Schrades’ Stainless Steel that has an extremely good name for edge retention, the Heat treatment was of the best quality and these knives have a long standing fantastic reputation.
The blade is 100% full.
This Knife has been sitting in the Sheath, the Sheath however has not been worn. There are superficial tiny marks from storage, The Blade still has its Factory edge and has not had any sharpening whatsoever.
The Factory Etch on the Blade is still strong SCHRADE SUPER SHARP.
The Original Sheath is in excellent condition.
The original Stone is still in the Sheath’s pouch. Overall length is 9 & ½ inches long, that Blade is just a peek under 5 inches long. A very nice Vintage USA made Schrade here folks up for grabs here in excellent + condition.
Many thanks for looking and check out my other auctions for a huge variety of Antique Cutlery and some very fine Great Quality Vintage Knives.
