Up for grabs is this nice Joseph Rodgers Docking Knife.

I love the old Joseph Rodgers knives, not only was Joseph Rodgers well known to be the very best in the older Sheffield days, but they marked their blades nicely - like this one. Deeply etched: RODGERS DOCKING KNIFE, HAND FORGED. Tang is stamped: no.6 Norfolk St, Sheffield England. Pile side Tang has the very famous Maltese Crosses.

The walk and talk of the knife is very nice, firm! NO blade play. The Handles seem to be a composite of sorts. when I picked this knife up I did actually clean the handles as they were covered in a glue, and no I didn't put those small marks in the handles- remembering this is a Vintage - nearing Antique!

The Bolsters are Nickle Silver- they too were covered, - this is why they are a little shinier as the glue had to be cleaned of them as well, underneath was this lovely knife. That nicely marked blade is of course Carbon steel. Closed this knife measures 4 & 1/4 inches long.
