Description
Hi there Up for grabs is the big Old Pruner.
Beautiful Wooden Handles and Nickle Silver Bolster that almost sway towards Brass. Now I don't know who made this knife, and I also don't know what country it was manufactured? If it had a tang stamp it's long gone! The blade is slightly off center - not by much at all.
At a wild guess the country of origin may be U.S.A or Germany? Most times the German knives have a different coloured pivot pin that shows on the Bolsters, but that's not always, either way this is a nice older Pruner that's holds a fair bit of quality. These Wooden Handles come to life a little more in the natural Sunlight.
That big beautiful blade that has managed to remain pretty darned full is a nice sight! It definitely needs an edge put on it by the lucky new owner.
A nice old Pruner up for grabs this week! Do your gardening in style :-)
4 & 1/4 inches closed, Blade is 3 inches.
Thank you for checking out this old Knife.

Hi, looks very similar to a Klein Electricians stripping knife, I own one. Cheers, Tony tc64 (819 • 3:29 pm, Fri, 17 Oct )Hi Tony, I have seen a lot of Klein's, and yes they the pruner styled blade. I would put money on it that this isn't a Klein, Klein's do have the wooden handles at times ( mostly composite), and when they do, the wood isn't a similar burl type. Blade shape is different. The Kick is definitely styled differently that Klein's, and usually Klein's will have a liner lock, I also haven't seen Klein's come out with Nickle Silver Bolsters. Tony thank you for coming in with your great suggestion! dunconian (860 • Friday, 17 October 2025 )
