Metal; Silver /Gilt
Maker Marked A.T. being Anton Tuetenberg. On reverse under top ring hole.Also on obverse under portrait of Queen Victoria.
40mm high x 28mm wide approx
Reverse engaved; "HALF MILE 2ND D.TRANTER"
Rare,I believe this is only Issued one of these medallions known.
Actual Medallion as shown in Leon Morels Book " Supplement to Medallic commemoratives of New Zealand 1865-1940." Printed in year 2000 on page 1 as 1897 /1.
And as shown on Cover of the Supplement book.
This was Leon's Most Prized Piece I believe,I remember talking to him not long after he purchased off Geoff Brown (Local Christchurch dealer)
