Description
The Medals of 44614 Private Penny Preston Whitfield of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Private Preston was killed in action 9th October 1917 aged 38. He was the son of Mr Francis and Annie Whitfield of Goodenber Road Bentham. Private Preston is commemorated at Tyne Cot Memorial Belgium.
Group comprises WWI War Medal and Victory Medal [44614 PTE P P WHITFIELD NZEF], and a 24th Reinforcements to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force cap badge and matching collar button. This group also has his New Zealand Soldiers Pay Book stating KILLED IN ACTION and Birth Certificate. Plus other items. Condition: EF (Extremely Fine)
