Three Volume set of Victoria Cross and Distinguished Service Order Recipients
These HARD BOUND volumes are approx A4 in size and are dark blue cloth with gold lettering in the front outside cover and on each spine.
One volume consists of Victori Cross Winners and Two volumes are filled with the recipients of the Distinguished Service Order. The tree Volumes contain 1748 Portraits.
All three volumes cover the awards from the institution of these awards to the time of publication circa 1921 1922. Edited by the late Sir O’Moore Creagh V.C., G.C.B, G.C.S.I, until he died and by E. M. Humphries.
Vol I consists of 337 pages and included Victoria Cross Warrants, 722 portraits and has descriptions of the officers and men of His Majesty’s Naval, Military and Air Forces who have been awarded these decorations, the deeds and services which won these distinctions and with many biographical and other details.
Vol II Contains the Distinguished Service Order from the time of it institution in 1886 to the 31st of December 1915. It contains 452 pages with 713 portraits and the original warrants for this decoration.
Volume III Contains the Distinguished Service Order from 1 January 1916 to the publication with extracts of the London Gazette entries. It contains 381 pages and 313 portraits.
