I bought this because it was an amazing saddle ring carbine (SRC). A Cavalry weapon. These are far rarer than those Infantry, longer, India pattern Brown Bess muskets (other listings ) and so these cost far more. Condition is as you can see. A few old borer holes, fairly typical. You could work on these. In UK, they keep muskets, ‘in the white’, so that means bright metal, not browning/blueing. Keep it, or change the tone. Up to You… but I like them with that old English brown common at Holts Auctions. Unmarked lock, or price would’ve been higher. Probably only one in NZ ?
