Description

This lovely old flintlock pistol has probably seen some service and as expected for something that is almost 300 years old, requires a bit of TLC. The frizzen spring needs replacing and the cocking mechanism does not engage and has a very strong mainspring, I am not a gunsmith and expect the purchaser will prefer to do this maintenance themselves. Below is a partial AI description of its type, for a full description go to http://www.bidsquare.com:- AI description of King George 2 Vaughan Flintlock long sea service pistol The Vaughan King George II Long Sea Service Flintlock Pistol was a British Royal Navy sidearm produced by the contractor Vaughan in the mid-18th century .
