NZ WW1 GOLD PRESENTATION POCKET WATCH - 26/31700 William MCLAUGHLIN, of Auckland. He was a rifleman, J Company Reinforcements, NZRB.
He was wounded in cction GSW to cheek 21/11/1917.
Antique full hunter gold filled pocket watch, marked N Z R B 26/31700 (New Zealand Rifle Brigade ).
This late 19th cent watch is in excellent all-round condition and in fine working order and keeps good time and was recently serviced.
The high grade 17 jewel, adjusted movement is marked Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool, and on the face.

His file advises he was part of the 26th Reinforcements, number 31700. His middle name was John. Perhaps that was his preferred name, hence what appears to be a 'J' on the case.
