Wonderful Eprouvette. English. Very large, looks like a strange pistol. These are perfect, interesting items for your collection. I tested one of these… but it only opened a fraction… and sparks singed the hair off my hand ! Oops!… I smelled like a singed duck ! That was also in this very large, pistol form. It was made from a French 1753 Dragoon Pistol. I’ll add a photo. I’ll keep that one. From late 1700s, most Eprouvettes were tiny little conversions of Boxlock pocket pistols. Far inferior to this beauty. I got this in Spain recently, but it cost far more… (and lots of permits that I hadn’t considered) and took months. So, TWICE as much as a Flintlock Pistol.
