Description
Attractive, Rare, 6” long barrel. Most are 4” or 5” which are easier to carry. Very early 1853,( so well before Civil War). This increases its value. Action works GREAT ! Click!, Click, and the cylinder rotates to index every time. Matching visible numbers. A lot of Silver plate remains on trigger guard. Means it hasn’t been used much. Original, good looking, red-brown grips. No cartouches as these were too small for military. These came to NZ during the NZ wars, as self protection by settlers and gold miners ( while looking for gold in Otago, I found .31 cal lead balls, shot into the cliff ….opposite the pub!) The cylinder has been slightly pitted. But original silver plating is still intact, by the trigger, that shows it’s been in a case, not oiled, for decades. The cylinder rests on the case… and occasionally becomes damp… and so needs regular oil. I haven’t cleaned it, as leaving that Fun for You ! A modern case is included. Now what accoutrements does it need ? It’s fun collecting them all. You can import them easily…. Condition is as you can see. Clear rifling visible at the muzzle. No Firearms license needed to own this gun. That’s why it’s a Great, Fun, investment. Old muzzle loaders, are going up steadily. I’m buying blunderbusses… Priced Low, as I need €€€, …£££ for my Muzzle Loader imports. Pick up, and see my Colt Dragoon collection… and Buy one ! Or shipped for $60.
Other… Blunderbuss, Flintlock, Snider, percussion pistol, Sword
