Description
This is a beautiful and extremely rare late Victorian "General Post Office Telegraph Messenger"s arm band /badge with a heavy serge navy blue strap and black, metal buckle. Not often seen complete.
Condition: as found, dusty, minor moth damage to edge of strap, unpolished brass lettering, and brass strap eyelets. Needs stitching on the part of the strap beside the main badge at the rear. It would benefit from a good cleaning that would enhance its appearance and value.
Dimensions: Main badge diameter 75mm (3 inches), adjustable strap up to 390mm (15 inches)
A must for the Telegraph collector.
