Rhodonite, derived from the Greek word "Rhodon" meaning rose, is a manganese silicate mineral that symbolizes compassion and love, often found in shades varying from pale pink to deep red.

This kind of Rhodonite is mixed with clear quartz. It’s known as Icy Rhodonite, but also often called Sakura or Cherry Rhodonite as the pink Rhodonite flecks look like flower blossoms suspended in the quartz.

The black spots and veins that are commonly seen in these stones are manganese oxide.
