14 point red stag head Mounted in 1961
The head stands about 1.2m from shield to antler tips.
This deer was shot by my father and carried out of the bush when I was about 11 years old. He maintained that the shot through the antler was not his!
Around that time, he was shooting around central North Island. My first foray was in the Hihitahi forest. We stayed in Zeke's hut - the corrugated iron one.
