Paul Wren was one of many pseudonyms used by Henry Thomas Garratt. Sign-writer, & prolific painter. His favourite subject matter was NZ landscapes favoured by tourists such as Milford Sound, Wanganui River, Lake Manapouri, Waitemata Harbour & Maori themed scenes, etc.
Well-known pseudonyms used by Garratt include - De Ritz, G. De Ritz, F. Maxwell, S. Croft, F. Fenwick however, he also used his own name.
