Markings on the hand-piece read "GPO S-36 234 No 164". A google search of this returns: "'Ericsson GPO S-36 No. 164' refers to a specific model of telephone manufactured by Ericsson, used in New Zealand. It is inscribed with 'GPO S-36 234 No 164' on the handset. This model is a wall telephone, produced by the Swedish company Ericsson but manufactured in England, and was used in New Zealand between 1901 and 1925. The 'GPO' likely refers to the General Post Office, which was the entity responsible for telecommunications in New Zealand during that period. "
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Untested and sold as-is - batteries are clearly deteriorated and non-functional but are included as you might be able to repurpose them for display purposes.
