Two Sets: Set One: "The King at The Front" Official Daily Mail WW1 Western Front postcards 1916-17" 3 Daily Mail Official War Post Cards produced from photographs taken by official war photographers based on the Western Front. Cards released between 6th September 1916 and April 1917. These three cards are in Series XI (cards 86, 87, 88). Front bottom: number of the card, overall title of “THE KING AT THE FRONT” with a description of what the photo depicts, with underneath it "Official photograph - Crown Copyright reserved. Daily Mail War Pictures". Backs have "Passed by Censors", and "Daily Mail War Pictures" "Official War Photographs, Crown Copyright Reserve, and the series and number repeated. Back of No. 87 has a short, written message, the other two have no message. Condition good, slight edge and corners scuffing (see photos).

Set Two:
6 Daily Mail Official War Post Cards produced from photographs taken by official war photographers based on the Western Front. Cards released between 6th September 1916 and April 1917. These six cards are in Series 2, and include 9; 10; 11; 12; 14; 15. Each have on the front "Daily Mail WAR PICTURES" top right hand side, the number and title of the photo in capital letter bottom edge with - underneath that - "Official photograph crown copyright reserve". Each have on the back at the top: "Passed by censor" "Daily Mail Official War Picture", Crown copyright reserve" A Series 2 and No. xx. Each back is divided, with a descriptor on the top left, and "For address only top right. "Printed in England" is at the bottom. No backs have been written on. Condition good, some scuffing of edges (see photos).
