Find us Another. Rare 1953 Elizabeth II cut-out wooden coronation parade.

Have you ever seen one of these before? There is one in the Te Papa collection but that's the only reference we have to one in NZ.

It was originally a book of cut out figures, published for the coronation of Elizabeth II, called 'The Coronation Cut-Out Model Book' 1953. The cut outs depict the coronation parade and full military ensemble.

The cut-out paper has been glued on to wooden stands (we aren't sure if they came pre-glued in the book or not) and so each piece can stand up by itself. 40 separate pieces.

Fantastic attention to detail and very charming.

Condition: overall very good, a few pieces could use a glue touch up, and one horserider has snaped through the wood and been sellotaped back together. As far as we know, 40 is the complete set, but we aren't sure.
