King George VI and wife, Queen Elizabeth were to visit Australia and New Zealand in 1949. The visit was called off due to the King health. He was heavy smoker and died in his sleep of complications related to the lung. This is a glass to mark the occasion marked 1949, Australia New Zealand, never used, no chips or marks, can be picked up in Wellington
