Description

This newspaper features the wedding of Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester and Lady Alice Montagu Douglas Scott were married on November 6, 1935, at the Private Chapel in Buckingham Palace in London, England. He was the third son of King George V and Queen Mary and was a younger brother of kings Edward VIII and George VI. He served as Governor-General of Australia from 1945-1947. This publication includes photos of young Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose, plenty of advertisements for Bournville Cocoa, Ovaltine, du Maurier Cigarettes, Pyrex, Orchis Perfume Bottle by Yardley and Bisto and many more. Condition: Intact and in good condition with age commensurate foxing and fading.

From a Collection of Royalty Memorabilia from the 1860 to 1952 collected by a Royal Fan of old. This has been in my possession for a number of years now and it’s time to pass it on. Many of the publications have fascinating insights into the Society of the day and will interest collectors of antique & vintage advertising.
