Description
Posted from India on 30 June 1938, this original airmail cover was sent to Auckland, New Zealand. It features King George VI stamps (2 x 1 Anna, 1 x ½ Anna) and has a clear Bombay postmark. Part of the early Empire Air Mail Scheme period, this cover shows the expanding global reach of British colonial mail. Nicely preserved with a clear address and legible cancellations. Light toning and minor age wear consistent with its age. A great item for collectors of British India, airmail, or NZ postal history.
