Description
Striking 1934 airmail cover flown from Calcutta to Sydney on one of the early international airmail services. Features a printed envelope with vivid blue and red artwork and multiple stamps, including the "Inauguration of New Delhi" issues and a rear pair of 8 Anna airmail stamps.
Postmarked 13 April 1934, it reached Sydney by 21–22 April and was forwarded to the UK. Includes multiple transit marks and is in excellent vintage condition.
A classic example of early global airmail history with attractive stamps and artwork.
