Very beautiful 4 Swiss hand-embroidered batiste handkerchiefs in original gift box from the 50s and 60s. Never taken out Embroidery in one corner with lace In very good condition, like new. There's no indication on the box or on the handkerchiefs as to what material they're made of. But I'm pretty sure they're cotton batiste, which was made in Switzerland in the 1950s and 1960s Batiste a fine, lightweight fabric. The fabric is a plain-weave textile, often made of cotton, known for its fineness and softness. Box shows slight signs of age.
