One for the collector of 'Automobilia' or 'Tobacco' advertising.
The Michelin Man was created in 1898 by French cartoonist O'Galop (Marius Roussillon) & is the official mascot of the Michelin tyre company.
His official name, Bibendum, comes from the Latin phrase "Nunc Est Bibendum", meaning "now is the time to drink", which was part of an early advertising slogan suggesting Michelin tyres "drink up" obstacles on the road.
Circa. 11cm tall, 15cm deep, & 12cm wide.
