Description

This is a rare Circa 1950s lighter made in West Germany. Hoechst AG was a German chemical company, turned life-sciences, which was bought out in 1999.

This lighter is of the traditional lighter fluid variety, with wick and flint. It is in a sleeve that pulls out in order to re-fill and change the flint. It features a brushed chrome finish with a machined, wavy line pattern on front and back. It also features the old Hoechst signet logo set in into a square. It has a soft material case. Stamped on the bottom is “IBELO Made in West Germany”.

It has been stored in a cabinet for decades so in pristine condition. The flint sparks so all it needs in some lighter fluid.
