The object shown is a vintage Ronson Varaflame table lighter, likely from the 1960s. Here's some information about it: It is a butane gas lighter. The design is reminiscent of the Empire period. The base is made of heavy metal with a thick layer of silver plating. It was manufactured in England between 1961 and 1980. Ronson was acquired by Zippo in 2010 and continues as a distinct brand. To fill it, a gas lighter refill with the correct valve is needed. The flame can be adjusted using a rotating ring.
