Description

Rare vintage “Whitehouse and sons hatchets 1” stamped Kent pattern axe/ hatchet fitted with original handle.

Approx measurements: Blade: 100mm Butt to blade: 150mm Handle: 320mm Weight: 800grams

Very rare to see this stamp from C.Whitehouse and sons, it reads “Whitehouse and sons hatchets 1” It is in excellent condition, some mushrooming on the butt end. covered in a nice dark and even patina, nice blade and still nicely fitted to the original handle. No cracks or chips. This is a beautiful collectors piece.

*this is the first time this axe will be sold in Nz marketplace, as is the case with 99% of my axes. have gathered most from the uk and USA over the past 15 years.

I will be letting go of quite a large percentage of my axe and hatchet collection here on trade me, all types of patterns and origins and quality's (from mint to Rusty). There will be both with and without handles and some very nice handles by them selves. will not be doing pick ups, so post only. And payment by bank transfer within 3 days of auction ending. And no winner of any auction will get any special access to the rest of my collection. Selling via Trade me uploads only. Cheers.
